[She bends down and picks up a small rock...to drag across her own arm. Lightly so that it only leaves a welt and a scratch, but it's a visible mark. She lays her hand on it, fingers spread equidistant on the mark and...

...nothing. She places her palm firmly on it and...nothing. Rose, let this helpless look she gives you be your cue to give some advice.]

[Obviously, this isn't working. And unfortunately... Rose has reached the limit of advice to offer. In most cases, things like this just come naturally to gems. She's never really had to explain it to any of them before.

...Well, she might have one idea.]

Hm... If that's not working, then I suppose we could try a more practical approach. I believe that sometimes, on the rare occasion that a gem is having difficulty tapping into their powers, the most common solution is to bring them along on a mission. Letting firsthand experience and the threat of real consequences push them into unlocking their abilities.

I'll just have to bring you with me next time there's an encounter with the Nox.
