This is also new. this is terrifying in it's newness. He goes from a stark, clinical room to the top of a building-
There's a fountain. It's very pretty. He's VERY FREAKED OUT. Another stumbling step and he's

Not there-

anymore he's somewhere else. A library? WHAT THE FUCK? WHERE THE HELL IS HE? Someone's there.
He sees someone there and he reaches out for an answer, for a solution for any fucking thing at all and-

isn't there anymore. He's in a bedroom.

Then a school.

Then an abandoned lot.

Then he's there, RIGHT THERE, all tan armor and crackling voice over the radio, scared and startled and unable to fucking understand what the HELL IS GOING ON and he catches a hold of someone. Anyone. Whoever's closest. Clings and shakes them and says- ]

You're gonna give me some sane answers right the fuck now-

[ But he's gone.

He's gone and he's taken whoever he's grabbed with him and this time? This time he's wiped. This time he STOPS.
Mostly because he's stuck with his arm half in and half out of a wall, forced to stand while his HUD and the healing
unit blare angry noises at him about pressure and potential crush injury if he moves the wrong way. Caught like a
fish he lets go of whoever and scrabbles, trying to dig his arm out. ]

Oh god oh god oh shit oh god someone get me OUT OF HERE!

[ ooc: York is porting himself all around Freesia due to not knowing how his magic works! YAY! If you want him to port into your character's room, bedroom, bathroom, place of employ, whichever just toss them up and assume he's popped up there. If you want your character to have been grabbed by him and stuck in the middle of nowhere with his arm stuck in a wall, go for it! ]

Yeah. Kinda ended up bouncing between you two for a little while there.

[ Giant pink hair'd magical warrior. That explained a LOT of his gut reactions to her. Also pretty. Also TAKEN why does he keep getting these things for people that are unavailable? ]

After that first flash you didn't really freak out. Which helped me not freak out. Also? Got me out of the wall. So theme songs and good deeds.

I figure. [ Honestly if he'd had to pin who he thought would survive everything? Wouldn't have been Wash. It'd be Carolina but- well. He knew how wrong he was on that count. ] Wind? So you summon cool breezes and shit?

Well, that's two things off my to-do list.

[He takes a second to look him over. It's hard to tell much of anything about how he's holding up, with most of his armor still on, and he certainly sounds like he's calmed down since the first few pops in and out, but there's likely a lot more going on underneath.]

Stressing about someone popping in and out does just as much good as singing, figured I might as well stick to the one that feels better. After a point, I figure the best way to handle things is knowing when it's out of my hands, and it'll get figured out. Takes some of the pressure off when things are going haywire.

If by "cool breezes" you mean "wind strong enough to tear apart shadow monsters," sure! I do that.

[Once. He'd done it once. And it'd nearly killed him. Let's not mention that.]

[ Now that he's got both hands he can pop off the helmet and set it aside and breathe for a little while. Breathing is good. He may or may not have been using the HUD to monitor his heart-rate while he got the hang of this but- right now he's not stressed, he's not trapped, and he's safe. ]

That is a massively helpful mindset, man. If more people were like you I figure the world would turn out a lot less stressful. And scary.

[ There it is. There's the crooked little hook of a smirk, the old teasing tone. Normalcy. ]

[Yep, there it is. And this is Wash, whacking him upside the head.]

Says the guy who literally got stuck in a wall ten minutes ago.

[ Not normally Wash's job but- it's just them so he lets it slide with a crackle of laughter. ]

That was an accident. Now that I know what I'm doing, kinda, I'll get better at this.

[Alexis doesn't stir -- they're breathing shallowly, but steadily; but they'll be out for a little while. They weigh surprisingly little.

If York wants to take a look at what's under the eyepatch, this would be the time.]

This is the worst hallucination ever. Of all time.

I'd like to meet him. He must be something special if he's making you smile like that.

[ It's everything he'd wanted for himself and Carolina. Everything he never really got. ]

[ Avoid the sun, get them somewhere safe. He can do this. He does manage to find the library again, or at least it's back entrance- as long as he keeps calm they don't go jostling around everywhere. Getting in? A peice of cake. The locks aren't even digital. He has to do it one handed but, hey. He likes a challenge.

In and it's dark and quiet and calm and he swears there were vending machines somewhere in the building. He finds a nice comfy looking sofa to set Alexis down on before ducking away long enough to grab a bottle of water and a bag of chips. No he didn't pay for them, jacking the machine was too easy. ]

[Alexis stirs, eventually, a hand on their knife before they move and the floor puddled with water before they figure out where they are. Well. Where they're likely to be. They've never actually been in the library before, but why else would there be books?

They stay quiet, scanning the area until he comes back with food and water.]

...thanks. Y'didn't need to. I would've been fine.

[ He'll ignore the puddle in favor of settling down next to Alexis, offering over the bottle of water first. ]

[They take a long drink, trying not to look too grateful, but -- yeah, Alexis needed that.]

...I've been blipping around the city all morning and haven't seen anyone getting killed by sunlight. But better to be paranoid than dead, right?

[ The chips get opened next and here's where York cracks off his helmet to breathe, ruffling his hair so it's not all flat and helmet hairish. Like it do. ]

[He just smirks. That's better.]
